My personal scenario is that I’ve already been utilizing no cost web hosting with out a domain name prior to and in the end got bitten in the back. Free Internet hosting is not good and regardless of what you do on the internet, it is best to get your own website name – just like you right here. No matter which topic you write about – this is the way to go.

Where was the traffic coming from? Did you offer your visitors a coupon code making the first month free? It still counts toward commissions.
I agree with Gennie, Google Adsense earnings are poor unless you are getting a TON of traffic, or if you have a lot of sites getting descent traffic.
